Government Employees Health Association was formed in 1937 by the Railway Mail Clerks. The foundation of the organization was laid down in Kansas City, Missouri. It has total workforce of more than 1300 employees. Since 1937, it was renamed six times. Initially, Government Employees Health Association (GEHA) was known as Railway Mail Hospital Association and it had gained its current name in the year of 2007.
