How I PASS Works on Toll Plazas

I PASS Toll system was introduced on 18th of November 1993. The system can be used on both the entrance and exit ramps. It was introduced to reduce the rush on the toll plazas as the I Pass users can go straight without using the toll line. They were checked via transponder antennas, while passing the toll at the normal driving speed. Toll amount is automatically reduced from the driver's I PASS prepaid account. For calculating the toll amount, the system uses Video toll. Drivers have to maintain the balance in their I PASS account for their convenience. In this way, the user drivers save their time of toll line and cash counters. Other Features of I PASS are safe, easier and greener.
