Shanti Education Society ,Solapur has been formed for achieving the great aim in the Technology Education & Industry scenario. Society has been registered under the Society Act 1860 under Sec. 21. The main object of forming the Society is to boost the students in the advanced engineering wings. Our Society has started A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur City from the academic year 2008-2009.
A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur institute is running four-year diploma course in Civil Engineering. The department has produced number of good engineers, working at high positions in various organizations.Computer Engineering is a four-year course running in our institute. The department gave number of good ENGINEERS to the various different organizations. The Department of Computer Engineering is committed to produce top class software and hardware professionals through academic excellence and quality education. The department has developed excellent laboratories, equipped with all recent software and hardware. To support an extensive academic and other activity of the Department an Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACES) has been formed. Electronics & Telecommunication is a branch that makes impossible things possible. A branch of mystery and miracle, started with Vacuum Tubes to Integrated Chips today, a big room computer to palm top today, has proven itself as most important solution to lead life more comfortably.

This branch has much hidden treasures for Engineers & Physicians and makes them crazy as it reveals the secrets with time. Mechanical Engg is a four-year course running in our institute. The department gave number of good ENGINEERS to the various different organizations.In the department, there are various laboratories such as Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Theory of Machine, Internal Combustion Engine and Basic Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. Every laboratory is well equipped with modern and advanced models and equipments.
The library in A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur is located in spacious building independently having 3 Reading Halls, 2Stack Rooms, Reprographics Rooms and Periodical Section. The library is stacked with more than 10,000 books and 700 back volumes of periodicals. At present 70 technical journals (including 20 foreign), besides almost all the important magazines and newspapers and subscribed to cater the requirements of both student and staff. The book bank scheme is of great value for those students belonging to the weaker sections of the society.
It is having a collection of various Data Books, Encyclopedias, ISI codes, Reference Books, IEEE Technical Journals. The library facilities are available to students up to 7:00 pm daily and up to 12:00 in midnight during examination period. The students are permitted to have open access facility for reference books. The management is planning to take institutional membership of I.I.T. Mumbai Library, British Council Library Pune, ARAI Pune to enable students to have access to those immense knowledge base. The centre has well equipped computer laboratories which has three workstations. Computers are connected on Ethernet (CD/CSMA) technology of Lan NT with networking operating system windows 2003 server pack. There is software like Auto CAD 2006/2008, I-deas for Mechanical Engineering students, R.C.C design software like beam, slab and column for Civil Engineering students. E& TC students are attaining skills through the software like Visual Studio and Net Software. High speed Broadband/Internet connectivity is available at Central Computer Laboratory and in all Departments.
All Classrooms in the A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur are well furnished with comfortable seating arrangements. Facilities like LCD projectors, OHPs are available for all the branches, so that the students have a better understanding and depth of the topic through colored figures and animations. Good lighting & ventilation are also provided. Three spacious & well furnished seminar halls cater to the training and learning needs of the faculty and students. Practical approach provides actual strength to education for which all Laboratories are well equipped with best equipment to effectively carry out all the experiments prescribed in the curriculum as well as extra experiments suggested by the faculty for better understanding of the subject. for effective practical sessions, only 20 students are present in a batch and 2 in group to perform a particular experiment.
A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur workshop building is one of the best building in whole Maharastra. The workshop section have been well equipped for students to gather a hand on experience. These include: Fitting Shop ,Machine Shop,Welding Shop,Carpentry Pattern making Shop,Plumbing, Sheet Metal Shop,Blacksmith Shop,Moulding Shop ( Plastic),Foundry Shop,Store. This section runs like as industry. Practical and job oriented work is carried out in accordance with scheduled time table and as per the job drawing , by applying theoretical concepts and different aspects of manufacturing techniques like CNC Lathe and CNC Milling. Adequate tools and equipments are supplied during the practical hours to help each and every student acquire hands experience. This includes the latest machine tools, measuring equipment , cutting tools etc. These are maintained with great care and in good operating conditions. Every student is trained to handle the equipment by the instructors having industrial background.
A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur houses well furnished , self contained hostels providing homely environment to enhance the student's concentration for academics. Separate hostels for boys and girls with overall capacity of accommodating First and Second Year students are present. The hostels are provided with all the facilities required for the comfort of student and creating an atmosphere to students for concentrating on their studies. Hostel in the A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur has its own library, Recreation Room, Sports room, Hot water , Water cooler and round the clock security. To guide the inmates and keep an eye on them, hostels have Residential Rectors, Who takes care of students round the clock which facilitates the maintenance of good discipline in the hostel. Each student staying in hostel is governed by the rules being enforced by in institute from time to time. This ensures healthy atmosphere and good discipline in hostel and college premises which helps the students to concentrate on their studies.

To achieve this, authorities are working hard and leaving on stone unturned and thus, emerged with AGPIT adventure club, musical club etc. Students are encouraged to take active part in co-curricular and extra curricula activities which include sports and game invents cultural programs, technical paper writing, quiz etc.A G Patil Institution of Technology - Solapur students have actively participated in youth festival 2008-2009 organized by Solapur University, Solapur and also in Walchand Arts and Science College, Solapur and brought laurels to the institute by winning prizes in different events.
