Good Day,

I am so disappointed at the moment, we applied for my daughters unabridged certificate in Alberton on the 29th May 18, to find out a week later it was never processed on the system. So we went there again this morning and explained to them it is urgent she is flying with the school on the 04th July 18 to Tailand. She then loaded it on the system and told me to phone customer care to ask them to speed it up. So when I called them this lady did not process it for them to continue. I have been phoning there Manager Elias and the contact numbers since this morning and NO answer. I am so so upset.

For a tiny office which does not even have a computer, they are remarkably efficient, polite and speedy with their service. I had a son with the man whom I never knew his family and he has never been there for my son he dumped us when he was only two years. I found another man who helped me to raise him and we got married in 2012 and we wanted to change him from my surname Ntuli to my marriage surname to Nape they told us to wait until he is 16 so he can choose, we waited until he reached 16 and go back to home affairs again. I applied for a surname amendment last year and after six months I returned to the home affairs, but there was still no result. I was informed to contact the call center. Today I contacted the contact center and was on a phone with Asindi Thavhiwa who took 30 minutes to just confirm if my son's surname was changed or not. I used someone's phone to call the place for 30 minutes just for a surname amendment confirmation. This is really disappointing Home Affairs. The service provided is totally unacceptable. The call was made from 10: 45 to 11:06 on the 18/08/2016. I still had more questions to ask the guy, but could not proceed because of the poor standard, service and lack of information experienced at that place. Regards.

I dialed your 012 4052600 and hung on for over 5min before I was cut off without notice. I dialed from a Telkom line. I have avalid passport, and can see the passport number clearly, However, I am filling in a D160 USA form and they ask for a passport sequence number as well. I have no idea what that is and they say we need to find out from Home Affairs. They say that some countries have them and some do not, but the applicant has to check with their passport issuing authority

On June 15 2015 we applied for my son's unabridged birth certificate as well as a vault copy. After six months I phoned and was given two case numbers as follows Unadridged 1508042622 and for the Vault copy 1508042589 About two months later a phoned again and was told I had to fill in two forms a DHA 24 and a DHA 288. Back to Plettenberg Bay we went (We live in Knysna) and duly filled in the forms and was told it would take six weeks. I phoned Pretoria two months later and spoke to Sebanzile who promised to phone back. After no call for two weeks I phoned and Puti? Said she would phone me back. That was four weeks ago. Good AFternoon, In September 2015 my dad applied for a new ID book and I applied for my daughter's unabrdiged certificate. I still have neither of these documents. I have phoned the call centre every week since November and keep getting told that they aren't ready. This is now becoming ridiculous. Good day. I requested copies of my two marriage certificates in June. I have now called to find out what is happening. I was told that I require the exact date of my second marriage. I would like to lodge a complaint regarding the service I received from the Department of Home Affairs at the Polokwane Library Centre Offices on the 7th of March 2015. I came to the offices for collection of my passport at9:13 am. It was a number of us, about 15 people and the rude security officer at the door informed us that they had reached their target for the day. We therefore demanded to see the officer in charge. He was also rude to us and even did not want to listen to the customers. He left us at the door and went back to his office. We as a collective had to fight into the build and told the security officer that we are going to lodge a complaint with the ministry and also opened up your page from the internet to show them your working hours on Saturdays. My question is, is the service given to the citizens in line with what the Batho Principles is saying. We humbly request your intervention regarding the service rendered to the Polokwane people.

Delayed passport. I applied for a passport on the 04th of December 2014 at mokopane. I have been waiting forever and i will be traveling to Mozambique next weekend. If i dnt get the passport i will be forfeiting the money i paid for the holiday. I have been calling the home affairs call centre. My reference number is 1001501234. I do not know who to call cause the agent always say i must phone after some days.

I applied to change my surname in 2005 and it took me more than four years to get my ID document back. When i go to the banks etc. They wanted a conformation letter that my surname is changed, so i went back to the home affairs in durban in 2012. But still i have not received my conformation letter from you guys. I would like to know when the letter is going to be ready or how much time should i wait for this letter? I'm stuck now i can not carry on with my life, i want to get married, but i can not. I applied for my daughters unabridged certificate in April 2014 as per school requirement, in December 2014 I was asked to refill the forms which were submitted to head office on the 5th, I still haven't received the certificate, schools will be opened on the 21st January 201d, and the response I get is, the certificate hasn't been made yet.
