Punjab Polytechnic College - Mohali was established by Shri Guru Nanak Dev Educational and Charitable Society in the year 2004. It is now in the fourth year of operation. It is an upcoming institute of unique blend of professional and academic excellence with commitment to impart quality education to the students, enabling them to meet various challenges of professional life. Punjab Polytechnic College - Mohali is located at a distance of 30 Kms from Chandigarh, 6 Kms from Lalru, 10 Kms from Derabassi and 20 Kms from Ambala. It is located over 30 acres campus , 5 Kms off Ambala-Chandigarh Highway being developed as first Express Way in Northern India, in a backdrop of Shivalik Hills with lush green, pollutionHills with lush green, pollution free and eco-friendly environment with planned landscaping. Punjab Polytechnic College - Mohali is superbly built and has adequate facilities including, Laboratories, Computer Centre, Workshops, and on campus boys and girls hostels. Additional blocks with all facilities are being added.

In keeping with this requirement the Indian Govt. has taken appropriate steps to produce adequate engineering professionals in different streams of engineering. Consequently, in the recent past numerous engineering institutions have been established both in public and private sectors all over the country.
In keeping with these requirements our management has set up Punjab Polytechnic College - Mohali. Churning out engineers of competence is indeed a challenging task. College provides the perfect platform for students to transform their minds from non-technical to technical. The management of College provided the basic infrastructure for the achievement of this objective. Punjab Polytechnic College - Mohali can claim of excellent facilities in terms of building and campus in accordance with the AICTE norms. Not only that the institute has on its rolls well qualified faculty, the faculty is well motivated and dedicated towards the cause of promoting quality education.

These labs are aesthetically laid out to provide on the floor training to the students. These labs are fully equipped with the intra-curricular equipments and instruments so that the budding engineers are exposed to the state-of-the art lab environment.A well equipped Medical Centre is operational for the benefit of all the students to keep them healthy and strong to pursue their studies. The hostel environment is conducive to learning and tension free to enable the students to imbibe the spirit of healthy camaraderie. Mess is being managed by an experienced contractor who ensures that fresh preparations are readily available in abundance and the hostel life becomes homely for the students. There is an additional Canteen on Punjab Polytechnic College - Mohali campus that offers quality snacks and beverages.
Co-curricular activities like sports, cultural and excursions are given adequate importance as part of the daily routine for overall development of the students. Training and Placement Cell exists in the Punjab Polytechnic College - Mohali to help the students get placed in the position of responsiblity with handsome packages. In the current year all eligible students have been placed. A large fleet of buses ply from Ambala, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Derabassi etc. to the College so that the students should not face any problem in reaching the College and going back home. Efforts are being made to add more buses to the system so that the accessibility of the transport system becomes easy for the students.
