Shree Datta Meghe Polytechnic – SDMP Nagpur was established in the year 1983 with a missionary zeal of Shri Dattaji Meghe who is in active public life for more that 30 years and represented the people of Maharashtra in Lok Sabha for 3 consecutive terms and presently he is a member of parliament (Lok Sabha).

The canteen is operated by reputed caterers under strict vigilance of Canteen Committee. College provides a bus facility to all the First Year students at subsidized rates. The bus facility is also extended to students for visit to industries, research institutes, survey camps etc. A yearly pass can be obtained from the college office after paying the prescribed charges of Rs. 7500 /-. The college operates its own buses on all the routes. Once a route has been finalized no changes /diversions will be entertained and parents are to cooperate. In addition to existing stops or revisions of routes is entirely at the college’s discretion. The purpose of forming this Chapter is to keep the student updated about the new challenges in the changing scenario of the Technical Education. ISTE Students’ Chapter organizes programs like - Personality Development & competitions like - debate, extempore, quiz, animation mind, poster (cartoon) on regular basis. Besides a host of technical activities are undertaken by this chapter. Faculty members and students are encouraged for participation.
