Shri Mathuradas Mohota College of Science – Nagpur was established on 18th July, 1949. Shri. Mathuradas Mohota College of Science is a center for studying basic sciences with application point of view. We strongly believe that advances in basic sciences will mainly contribute towards the progress of human civilization in building powerful knowledge based multicultural and highly developed society. Indepth knowledge of mathematical, biological, physical and earth sciences along with modern outlook has been our main concern.
Shri Mathuradas Mohota College of Science – Nagpur is situated at Sakardhara chowk, Umrer Road, Nagpur. Our fundamental mission is to generate and disseminate knowledge in basic sciences to further the physical, economic and intellectual well being of students and to motivate and enable our students to seek highest levels of intellectual achievements and personal growth. Our aim is to create science graduates and postgraduates who will become scientists of high caliber and will contribute to the progress of our nation in the fields of science and technology. At the same time, we want to see them as responsible citizens with a sense of integrity, honesty and more importantly having high moral values.

The college has got well-equipped Computer Lab with advanced Computer Systems to help the students in Operating and mastering skills in Computer. The canteen in the campus provides hygienic and tasty dishes and different snacks to the students. Special dishes are served to students on special occasions.
