Charity of Montreal, and became first general hospital in Western Canada. The hospital got incorporate in 1960, and in 2003 it was equipped with 554 beds and approximately 78 bassinets. On an average, 5,000 child's delivery are done in the hospital. It is also served as regional cardiac care, and is the largest specialized laboratory testing facilities in the region.
