Ms. Natalie Lepage On Phone To St Pauls Hospital Vancouver Service
I was admitted at St-Paul's hospital at 9:55 am on February 11, 2019. I came in because I had, swelling on my forehead and pain around my jaws, neck and skull. Dr Sahota, Interjeet S is the resident doctor who saw me. He asked about the pain, where it hurt, how long. Looked at my ears, nose and throat. He prescribed an iv containing anti-nausea, painkiller and anti inflammatory with a flush. Diagnosed me me an acute viral sinus infections and prescribed Mometasone Nasal Spray(Apo), to be taken with Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen max doses. I did not present any sign of infection, no temperature, no sore throat, no mucus nasal/buccal. He said that if nothing improved within five days to come back or see my family doctor. I my situation worsened overnight, and felt compelled to go see my family doctor as soon as possible. I was diagnosed with Erysipelas and now on Penicillin. I feel that Dr Sahota completely misdiagnosed me and put me at risk to a less fortunate outcome.
