Emma Maersk is the first E-class container
Ship launched on May 18, 2006. It was largest container ship ever built at the time of its launch. It is one of the eight ships owned by the Moller- Maersk and operated by A. P. Moller- Maersk. Emma Maersh ship along with its seven sister ships are among the longest container ships constructed. The ship was built by the Odense Steel Shipyard Ltd.,
Denmark and the Port of Registry is Taarbaek, Denmark. The ship was launched on May 18, 2006 and on August 12, 2006 the ship was named in a ceremony. The Emma Maersk has a capacity of 11,000 TEU or fourteen ton containers.
