Percy Mahendra “Mahinda” Rajapaksa is the politician, Lawyer and sixth president of
Sri Lanka. He was born on November 18, 1945 in Weerakatiya, Southern Province, British Ceylon. He is also the commander in chief of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces. He studied at
Richmond College in Galle and Nalanda College, Colombo and Thurstan College, Colombo. He studied the Law at the Sri Lanka
Law College and took oaths in November 1977 as an attorney-at-law. He did his law practice in the Tangalle and was also a Prime Minister from April 6, 2004 until 2005 presidential election. He was the president of
Sri Lanka twice.
