Mary Kom is an Indian Boxer. She was born on November 24, 1982 in Kangathei, Manipur, India and she is also known as MC Mary Kom. She has won the world boxing championship five times and is the only woman boxer to have won the medal in each of the six world championships held. She did her schooling from
Loktak Christian Model High School, Moriang and then attended
St. Xavier Catholic School, Moriang and then Adimjati High School, Imphal. She did her graduation from Churachandpur College. She started her boxing training under the coach M. Narjit Singh. She has received many awards and recognitions.
