Kalasuri Arisen Ahubudu was a Sri Lankan scholar, writer and playwright. He was born on March 18, 1920 and died on 26 May 2011 in Colombo. He was a member of Hela Havula and served as a teacher for over 4 decades. Arisen Ahubudu began his teaching career at Holy Trinity College in Nuwara Eliya and was one of the prominent lyricists of Sri Lanka. Some of the notable works of Arisen Ahubudu include Hela Derana Vaga, Mangala Kinkini, Lanka Gam Nam Vahara and Manu Vasa.
