Arackaparambil Kurien Antony known as A.K. Antony is a politician of India. He was born on 28 December 1940 in Cherthala, Travancore. He was appointed as the Defence Minister on 26 October 2006, under the Prime Ministry Of Dr. Manmohan Singh. By Profession Antony is a Lawyer. He also served as The Chief Minister of Kerala from 17 May 2001 – 29 August 2004 and twice before that. A.K. Antony was also the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution from 1993-1995. He is associated with Indian National Congress political party. Antony pursued his studies from Maharaja's College (B.A.) and earned a LL.B degree from University of Kerala.
