Al Filreis is an Author, Host and Professor of English at the University of Pennsylvania. He was born in 1956. He is the co-founder of PennSound (2003) which is a large collection of recordings of poets reading their own poetry. He is also the founder of Writers House (1995), an organization devoted to creative writing and the literary arts.
