Alexander Gus Spanos is the founder of A. G. Spanos Companies and owner of the San Diego Chargers. He was born on September 28, 1923 in Stockton, California. Alexander Gus Spanos joined Army Air Force in 1942, leaving it later-on and served as a tail gunner during World War II. In the early years of his life Alexander Gus Spanos sold sandwiches to migrant farm workers in the San Joaquin Valley in 1942. He founded the A.G. Spanos Companies in 1960 in Stockton which now has more than 8 subsidiaries. Alexander Gus Spanos also authored a book called Sharing the Wealth:My Story.
