Alok Nath Jha is a well known Indian film and television actor. He was born on 10 July 1956 in Delhi, India. Alok Nath is notable for playing the role of Haveli Ram in the 1987 television series, Buniyaad. He later appeared in the 1989 film, Maine Pyar Kiya and went on to feature in some of the biggest hits of Bollywood, playing supporting roles. Some of the films that Alok Nath has featured in include Taal, Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Pardes and Vivah. He has also appeared in several other TV serials that include Rishtey, Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Talaash, Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani, Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai etc. Alok Nath has won the STAR Parivaar Award for Favourite Pita and STAR Parivaar Award for Favourite Sasur in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
