Alvin Ailey was a well known professional Choreographer and activist of African-American nationality. He was born in Rogers, Texas, U.S on January 5, 1931. in the year 1922, Alvin Ailey attended the Horton Dance Company and studied dance and other arts like painting, acting, music, set design, and costuming. He founded his own dance theater in the year 1958 under the name Alvin Ailey Dance theater. Alvin Ailey died at the age of 58 years on December 1, 1989 in Manhattan, New York, U.S.
