AMDEC (Avon Maitland District e-Learning Centre) is an online secondary school course provider in Ontario, Canada. It is administered by the Avon Maitland District School Board and offers secondary school courses to Ontario students on a modified continuous entry basis. AMDEC courses have 20 modules (full credit) or 10 modules (half-credit courses) with the minimum requirement for module completion being 2 modules per month. A course can be completed in a minimum time of 10 weeks and students can work at their own pace (within specified parameters) upto the entire school year (September–June) to complete a course. The various programs offered by AMDEC include Career Studies, Principles Of Mathematics, Media Arts, Civics And Citizenship etc. AMDEC courses are delivered through two systems viz. the "portal" website and the First-Class communication system. AMDEC also offers the facilty of Guidance Counselors providing assistance to students in course choices at the enrolling school.
