Angat Dam is a concrete storage pond embankment (artificial water barrier) hydroelectric dam located in Norzagaray, Bulacan, Philippines. Its construction began on November 1961 and it opened on October 16, 1967. Angat Dam is operated by the National Power Corporation, a government-owned and controlled corporation. The dam supplies potable water to the Manila metropolitan and nearby areas and powers a hydro-electric power plant. Angat Dam is 131 meters high, impounding water from the Angat River and has a normal high water level of 210 meters. The total capacity of the Angat Dam is 850 million cubic meters and the Installed capacity of the Power station is 256,000 kW.
