Bank of Uganda operates as the central bank of the Uganda. It came into being in the year 1966. The bank acts as the banker's bank and government's bank. It is responsible for the monetary policy regulation. Bank Of Uganda is also committed to set the interest rates and supervise all other financial institutions in Uganda. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile is the Governor of the bank since 12 January 2011.
