Ian Scott Anderson is a Scottish singer, composer and musician. He was born on 10 August 1947 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. He released his debut album Walk into Light in 1983 and is popularly known for his work as the lead vocalist, flutist and guitarist of a band Jethro Tull. Ian Anderson began his musical career in 1962 and formed a band The Blades in 1963. Ian Anderson has been honored with Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) and has released many albums which include The Secret Language of Birds, Thick As Brick 2 and Ian Anderson Plays the Orchestral Jethro Tull.
