Academy for Clinical Excellence - ACE Mumbai is the pioneering clinical research training institute in India established in February, 2002. ACE is an initiative of Pfizer India Ltd in partnership with Seven Life Sciences Ltd. and Bombay College of Pharmacy. Academy for Clinical Excellence - ACE Mumbai is conceived as a one-stop-shop for the training needs of all clinical research professionals. Availability of trained professionals and their ongoing development has been identified as an important lacuna that needed to be addressed to utilize India's huge clinical research potential.
Academy for Clinical Excellence - ACE Mumbai aims to enhance the clinical research culture in India, by providing effective and accredit able educational and training program in various aspects of clinical research. As the first step towards the fulfillment of its aim, Academy for Clinical Excellence - ACE Mumbai conducted various1- 2 day workshops. With the growing demand of the Pharma industry for trained clinical research professionals, a need for certification in this field was evident. Thus, in January 2004 ACE launched its first Post Graduate Diploma course in Clinical Research. The curriculum of the program, designed and developed by eminent clinical research professionals from the pharmaceutical industry, contract research organizations and academia, aims at developing all round competencies in an individual taking this course. It is conducted over weekends to facilitate working professionals.
The journey did not stop here. The need to train persons far and wide and to strengthen the clinical Research Industry, Academy for Clinical Excellence - ACE Mumbai has launched the first ever E-learning course for Clinical Research in India. The faculty comprises of distinguished clinical research professional from the industry and academics. They share their knowledge and experience with the students, simulating industry challenges giving them a reality check of the clinical research industry.

To meet the learning needs of aspiring and working clinical research professionals, Academy for Clinical Excellence - ACE Mumbai and Edutech have jointly developed an e-Learning program on Clinical Research as part of the distance learning programs offered by ACE. It is a web based certificate program consisting of CDs containing the audio visual lecture sessions, assignments, self evaluation quiz and other teaching accessories.

Continuing the tradition of training, Academy for Clinical Excellence - ACE Mumbai, a premier training institute for clinical research since 2002, has conducted various in-house and customized certificate courses. These workshops provide ideal platforms for clinical research professionals to interact with the peer group. The faculty consists of national and international doyens from the CR field. The range of the topics in these workshops covers all aspects of clinical research in the backdrop of Good Clinical Practice. The training consists of highly interactive sessions with many exercises and discussions. Till date ACE has conducted 33 courses and trained more than 1200 individuals for enhancing their careers.
