Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology-AIT is located in Jyothinagar, an extension of Chikmagalur town and is about 4 kilometers away from the center of town on Kadur Road. Chikmagalur, also known as the Coffee District of India, is a district in Karnataka, 250 kilometers from Bangalore.Chikmagalur city is 30 kms from the world- famous sculpture Belur Temple. The renowned temple of Sringeri Sharadamba and Sri Shankaracharya Mutt is just 100 kms away. The nearest railway station is at Kadur. Spread out over 65 acres of land with green surroundings and picturesque hillocks, the college has conducive atmosphere for education. The weather is salubrious and pleasant throughout the year. The Institute has highly qualified and experienced teachers with reputation in their areas of specialization, well equipped laboratories, sufficient books and periodicals in the library and fleet of buses for transportation.

The campus with a serene, scholastic atmosphere consists of well- planned buildings with spacious classrooms, sophisticated equipment, state of the art laboratories, network with internet facilities, departments with latest and advanced computing facilities, an extensive library, sports ground and gym, separate hostels for boys and girls, Canteen cooperative society, amphi theater, Vysa bank extension counter and other added facilities. Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology-AIT has a well equipped library housed in a spacious building which has a collection of about 40,000 volumes covering all branches of Science, Engineering and Management subjects. There are about 100 subscribed Technical Journals and periodicals at the reference section. The library has a separate reading room providing technical and non-technical, general, magazines and newspapers to improve the general awareness among the students. Apart from the Central library, each department has its own association library. Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology-AIT provides a good residential hostel accommodation to the students. There are two boys' hostels with an accommodation for 700 students. The facilities include a spacious dining hall, reading room, library, recreation, etc.

A well equipped modern gym has been housed in the campus for the benefit of staff and students. Apart from academics the students are exposed to various social and cultural activities. Facilities are provided for the students to participate in games and athletics. A number of outdoor and indoor games are being played. N.S.S. Unit has been introduced in this institution. The institute brings out Magazine at the end of every year.
