Avanthi Educational Society under the leadership of Sri. M. Srinivas Rao garu as Chairman was started in the year 1992. Academics excel only when teaching fraternity uses state of art courseware in imparting course curriculum to the students. In this context we are proud to say that Avanthi Degree and PG College – Hyderabad faculty is encouraged to use latest teaching aids like OHP, LCD Projector and internet connectivity. At our campus we have well spacious and ventilated seminar hall accommodating 175 to 200 students with audio-visual aid, OHP and LCD facilities available to conduct regular orientation programmes like extension lectures, guest lectures, personality development classes, e-class etc. Canteen is not just the place where you go to eat.
Especially in colleges and institutes of education this place is an open arena for debate, argumentative sessions on different issues, cracking gossips, kidding and having loads of fun with cutlets, burgers, tea, coffee and coke in between as gap fillers. At Avanthi Degree and PG College – Hyderabad we provide the similar environment at our food court for the students to refresh their minds.A sport is commonly defined as an organized, competitive, and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play. It is governed by a set of rules or customs. In a sport the key factors are the physical capabilities and skills of the competitor when determining the outcome (winning or losing). It is the art of maintaining Physical fitness and mental balance.
Apart from studies, Avanthi Degree and PG College – Hyderabad encourage students in sports as we believe that, it recharges their minds. Cricket is highly fascinating game for our students. We are very proud to say that our students at inter collegiate and state levels and have won many prizes. In the last academic year 2009-2010, the college has organized a major sport event under the name “MEDHA – 09”, on 21st & 22nd August 2009, Selection for National Level Chess Championship in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Chess Association.
Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute. Avanthi Degree and PG College – Hyderabad has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes. The cell regularly invites various industries and reputed firms for campus recruitment. During the academic year 2009-10, the Cell has organized a Campus Recruitment training program which enabled the institution to raise the employability ratio. Around 200 students have been recruited into various national & multinational companies with an annual package of 2.00 Lacs/annum & above. On other hand, the Placement cell also selects eligible students and sends them for off-campus programmes being conducted by the companies.
