After selling its medical distribution operation in 1995, Lumex rebranded itself as Cybex followed by its merger with Trotter, Incorporation, which was considered an eminent producer of treadmills. UM Holdings, the parent company of the latter emerged as the major stakeholders in Cybex. In 2001, Cybex was successful to purchase Forza to set up its operations in the United Kingdom. In 2003, it launched its range of Arc Trainer, one of the trade mark fitness equipment of the company.
