As per vision and mission of the NAAC, Doranda College - Ranchi was accredited by the NAAC Peer Team on 3rd and 4th March, 2005. It is one of the 10 NAAC Accredited Constituent College under Ranchi University. Doranda College - Ranchi offers different kind of undergraduate courses also vocational courses.

Doranda College - Ranchi has its own three storied building for arts and commerce faculty and an independent science block is under construction funded by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of Jharkhand. The experienced faculty members utilize their experience and wisdom to create a warm dynamic academic environment. Teaching combines the best of tradition and innovation, providing our students with a solid foundation in every field. Doranda College - Ranchi has a rich library containing approximately above thirty thousand Books. Book Bank for poor students having approximately 5000 Books. Besides, there are separate libraries for different departments. Journals for Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational Courses.
There is a Training and Placement Cell in the Doranda College - Ranchi for the students of Vocational Courses. The College is running this Cell since the Vocational Courses were started in the college. Objective of this Cell is to train the students technically and mentally in the field which they are looking forward for the job-opportunities. For this, the college offers Training Projects for the Students from time to time and provides them several outing experiences for exposure in the concerned areas.
Placement Cell is also functioning in Doranda College - Ranchi . It is for those students who are doing their courses in the College and also for former students of the said. From time to time the College arrange Seminars and invites Officials of various Companies, MNCs and Government organizations to explain and provide the job opportunities to the students.
