GLA University – Mathura was established in the year 1991 that Shri Narayan Das Agrawal took the initiative to fulfill the dreams of his father, Late Shri Ganeshi Lal Agrawal thereby giving shape to Sri Jagannath Prasad Ganeshi Lal Bajaj Charitable Trust Samiti to realize the vision of making the holy city of Mathura a recognized destination for knowledge seekers from all walks of life. This, in turn, led to the foundation of a milestone at the Karmabhoomi of the versatile and sagacious Lord Krishna. The society has been synonymous with social causes since its very inception and has drawn appreciation from one and all for the path-breaking work done by it related to the various facets of the societal paradigms.

GLA University – Mathura is located in 17km Stone, NH-2, Mathura-Delhi Road, P.O. Chaumuhan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The campus size has grown remarkably from 28 acres in the year 1998 to 80 acres in 2010. This includes separate buildings for all the four institutions of the university. Library facility at GLA University – Mathura is the hub of information services in the university. It serves as a creative and innovative partner in supporting the teaching, learning, and research activities. With a fast growing collection, both in digital and print format using state-of-the-art facilities, currently the Central Library has more than 87,000 books, over 2250 CD-ROMs and subscribes to more than 134 national and international journals/magazines in print. The learning resources are upgraded regularly as per the requirements and the indent received from users. Even students can place an indent for procuring books which are of interest to them. The library of GLA University – Mathura resource center is fully automated. For this we have specialized user-friendly library software called Alice for Windows (AfW). The center has adopted latest information technologies like CDs, DVDs, Multimedia Kits, Bar-code Scanners, etc. Users can access online databases and also find out the real-time availability of library material from their own computer terminals.
Library of GLA University – Mathura started with a small library and a few thousand books, now the University has three separate libraries along with one central Library having more than hundred thousand books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and encyclopedias, along with thousands of CDs. With the membership of DELNET, GLAiites now have access to 83, 69,299 bibliographic records, 33,541 periodicals along with huge range of CD ROMs & e-Books.
Computer lab at GLA University – Mathura is today globally connected through Internet and Computing facilities which are provided on more than 1200 computers systematically organized in 9 Computer centers. Laboratories of GLA University – Mathura existing in the institutions are top-notch and boast of the latest equipment in their field.
