Kishinchand Chellaram Law College – KC Law College Mumbai, popularly known as K.C. Law College, is one of the premier law institutions in the city of Mumbai. It is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai, registered with the Bar Council of India and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra.
Since 1955, the year Kishinchand Chellaram Law College – KC Law College Mumbai was established by the HSNC Board, K.C. Law has been imparting quality legal education to the students. Bearing in mind that law is an instrument of social change; the College has adopted a motto, which says ‘Law is the King of Kings’. The aim of K. C. Law College is to promote excellence in legal studies and its mission is to provide legal knowledge through theory and practice and to make the study of law socially relevant and fruitful. K. C. The college organises many curricular and extra- curricular activities to cater needs of students. Some of these projects include training of police officers in forensic science and cyber crime Investigation, organizing visit of students to Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament, National Human Rights Commission, and various other legal institutions, organizing National Moot Court Competition every year, Exchange programmes with other universities, Legal Aid programme, Lok Adalats, etc. The aim behind all our co-curricular and academic activities is not only to impart theoretical knowledge but to provide the environment for young minds to take wing.
Kishinchand Chellaram Law College – KC Law College Mumbai maintains a Student Welfare Fund. The object of this Fund is to render financial assistance to needy and deserving students to meet their College fees/examination fees/purchase of books, etc. Students desirous of availing of this assistance must apply to the Principal at the time of admission to the College. Such students can also avail of the Book Bank facility in the library.
The two canteens of Kishinchand Chellaram Law College – KC Law College Mumbai "Butterfly" and "Kool Cafeteria" in the compound offer hygienic mini meals, snacks, tea/coffee/ cold drinks, etc. The golden jubilee year heralded the first annual magazine of the College KCLAW _ NAMA. The Magazine captures the talent and skill of the students through their articles, interviews, poems and jokes. It highlights the events of the College and the achievements of the students at the college, inter-collegiate, national and international competitions.
