VVN Institute of Management, Technology and Research - VVN IMTR Bangalore was established in the year 2004 by Vasavi Vidya Nikethan Trust. Vasavi Vidya Nikethan came in to existence in 1980 as an educational wing of Karnataka Arya Vysya Charitable Trust with the blessings of Goddess Sri Vasavanba by taking over the management of Maharatra Mahila Vidyala, an old institution which was established in the year 1922. It became Vasavi Vidya Nikethan Trust in September 1991.
