Alfred Sant is the former Prime Minister of Malta. He was born on 28 February 1948 in Pietà , Malta. Alfred Sant is the member of Labour Party and led the party from 1992 to 2008. He has also served as the leader of opposition from 1992 to 1996 and 1998 to 2008. Alfred Sant began his political career in 1978 and holds a masters degree in physics from the University of Malta. Alfred Sant is also an author and has written many novels and short stories such as Min Hu Evelyn Costa? (1979), Kwart ta' Mija (1995), Silg fuq Kemmuna (1982) and George Bush f'Malta (2013).
