Dana Altman started his coaching career in the 1980's and served the Creighton University as a head coach for sixteen years. Dana Altman holds an associate degree in business administration from Southeast Community College (1978), and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Eastern New Mexico University (1980). He has been awarded many awards viz. SoCon Coach of the Year (1990), MVC Coach of the Year (2001, 2002), Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award (2013) etc.
