Rafi ahmed mir is a political personality in the Indian Administered Kashmir. He was born in 1956 and is the son of ex-MLC, MLA late G.A Mir. He has been involved in political activities since his college days and was the secretary of All Kashmir Students youth Welfare Council. Rafi Ahmed Mir was elected chairman, Municipal Committee in Pahalgam in 1984. He was the youngest MLA of the state winning from Pahalgam in 1987 and got ticket from NC in 2002. He is also associated with many social activities that include ban on use of polythene, green plantation drive, medical camps etc.
