AVC College of Engineering – AVCCE Mayiladuthurai was started in the year 1996 committed to social welfare. The founding father, Sri S. Ramalingam Pillai sowed the seeds of A.V. Charities in 1806 in memory of his beloved son Thiru Velayutham pillai. A.V. Charities began its educational services by starting the A.V.C. (Autonomous) college in 1955, extended their horizon to A.V.C Polytechnic in 1983 and in 1996 by opening the Engineering College. A.V. Charities serve as Bacon light in the field of education to the innumerable youth, with rural background. We are very glad to say that we are second to none in enhancing the young minds to compete the ever changing global changes.

Library of AVC College of Engineering – AVCCE Mayiladuthurai functions from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all working days. Open access system is adopted to avail the maximum utilization of the Library resources. To benefit the students, Library Hour is included in the Regular Time Table, which helps them in utilizing the library more effectively. Library transactions are maintained by Integrated Library Management Software package with Bar-coding provisions. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility is available to save the access time of the users. It is one of those libraries which is well equipped with more number of Books, National and International Journals. For effective Teaching learning process the library is maintaining a special section which is incorporated with Educational CD’s and DVD’s in fields of Engineering, Management and Science and Humanities. The Library takes more efforts in adding more efforts in adding more volumes of books and journals every year to quench the thirst of our staff & students.
Hostel of AVC College of Engineering – AVCCE Mayiladuthurai an exclusive hostel for men and women is located inside the campus encompasses with modern facilities provide a conducive environment for the inmates of the A.V.C. College of Engineering. The prerequisite of the students are met out by having joint consultation of authorities. Our inmates are trained physically and mentally through Gym and Yoga.
