Andhra Mahila Sabha Arts and Science College for Women-AMSASCW was founded in 1968 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Mahila Sabha is a unique institution that is dedicated to the up-liftment of women and was established by Padma Vibhushan Dr.(Smt) Durgabai Deshmukh. With its Central Office situated in Hyderabad, Andhra Mahila Sabha has 30 units working under its flag – 9 of them in Chennai and rest in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The institutions run by Andhra Mahila Sabha look after – care of Women, Children, Senior Citizens, Disabled, Health and Education. The teaching staffs numbering 51 are a team of competent, enthusiastic, committed and service-oriented workers who spare no efforts for the “integrated development” of the student as well as the institution.
Andhra Mahila Sabha Arts and Science College for Women-AMSASCW is spread over an area of 5.16 acres. With impressive buildings, spacious lecture halls, well-equipped laboratories, the Campus instills a spirit of education. The college has well equipped laboratories, Auditorium, Sports Facilities, Hostel accommodation, Mess/ Canteen facility, Health Centre. Livelihood Centre is the additional attraction of the institution.

Andhra Mahila Sabha Arts and Science College for Women-AMSASCW has a well-guarded Students hostel within the College premises and has a capacity to accommodate 105 students. The hostel rooms are well furnished with spacious rooms and good ventilation. Additionally, there is a separate mess facility with a spacious dining hall that accommodates 150 students at a time. The Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital takes care of any sort of emergencies of health. The department has two fully prepared Labs with latest instruments- like -Medical Microscopes, Compound Microscopes, Serological Water Baths, Digital spectrophotometers, Clinical chemistry Analyzer.
The library of the College is one of the oldest libraries in twin cities, which was established in 1968. This library looks after the needs of about 1580 users comprising students as well as staff. Currently, the library has in its stock about 30,000 books, covering a variety of subjects. It also subscribes to 9 current journals on different subjects to facilitate current reading.
