Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology – CIPET Chennai was establishment in 1968, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology – CIPET Chennai has been offering various courses to suit the needs of the Plastics industry. Now Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology – CIPET Chennai has transformed with the concept of ATR (Academic, Technology Support & Research) by offering Doctoral, Postgraduate, Graduate, Post Diploma and Diploma Programs. CIPET is rendering courses under its four tier structure and the centres are specialized for a particular tier Programs. The 15 Centres of the Institute are responsible for academic activities, which include classroom Teaching, Professional and Practical training in State of Art Laboratories and Workshops, Research and Industrial consultancy. The courses of study are organized through semester programs. An academic year consists of two semesters. The odd semester begins in August and the even semester in February. The medium of instruction is English.
