Mahajubilee Training College - Thrissur is a self financing college of Education for conducting M.Ed. and B.Ed. courses. Mahajubilee Training College - Thrissur is affiliated to the University of Calicut and recognized by N.C.T.E. It is a minority Institution organized and managed by the Educational Agency of the Archdiocese of Thrissur. The most important objective of this college is to train good teachers who are able to give integral formation to students, the future of our nation. We want to develop this institution into a center of excellence in education. The Mahajubilee Training College - Thrissur is established to achieve its motto “Learn, Live and Teach”. The college started functioning with 100 students (17 men and 83 women) on 5th Sept. 2002. This is the first professional college under the Archdiocese of Thrissur which gives preparation for all students, irrespective of caste and creed.
The main block of the Mahajubilee Training College - Thrissur is a three storey building.The college Auditorium is an impressive 1600 sq ft.Our Library is fully automated. We have a good collection of books and reference materials. This year we have added 907 books worth rupees more than two lakh and now we have a total collection of 5830 books. We also subscribe to about 30 journals besides many periodicals and dailies. The management has constructed a new block that houses the spacious library, language lab, seminar hall and class rooms for the M.Ed batches.
Mahajubilee Training College - Thrissur have established labs which are fully equipped with the most modern equipments which the students and teachers utilize to their best advantage.The computer lab is equipped with 32 machines where our students get practical training. Mahajubilee Training College - Thrissur also has a collection of 200 educational CDs. We have established well equipped language laboratory with modern technology. Psychology lab is worth mentioning with modern tools and tests to measure different aspects. Science lab consists of equipments and materials to suit the needs of students. Audio visual lab equipped with OHP, 16 MM sound Projector, Paxiscope, Automatic film strip Projector, TV, DVD, LCD Projector and Handycam, (Mini DV).
The Mahajubilee Training College - Thrissur provides myriads of opportunities to the students to discover and develop their creative and latent talents along with their academics. Various activities are organized with this objective under the guidance of competent teachers and also with the co-operation and leadership of the College Association.
