In servicing the avowed objective, the Devarakonda Educational Society has established the DVR College of Engineering and Technology – Medak in the year 1996, the D.V.R. Post Graduate College of Management Studies and the D.V.R. Post Graduate College of Computer Applications in the year, offering state of art academic programmes in Engineering, Technology, Management and Computer Applications.
DVR College of Engineering and Technology – Medak with the approval of ALL India Council for Technical Education, Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Andhra Pradesh-started functioning from the academic year 1997-98. The Devarakonda Educational Society was established in the year 1994 as a non-profit organization to shoulder a proactive role in achieving the national objective of emerging as a knowledge oriented society. Sri D.Vittal Rao is the president of the society. DVR College of Engineering and Technology – Medak offers different kind of undergraduate courses in engineering.

DVR College of Engineering and Technology – Medak major focus would be on career development of the students by imparting necessary training to acquire and update knowledge and learn new skills through undergraduate engineering programs in Engineering & Technology with a professional focus and accent on application, ultimately to enable them to obtain employment or to be successful entrepreneurs. The emphasis will be on making theory and practice as an integrated one in the area of the disciplines with hands on experience and quality assurance. Development of methodology for educational and cultural advancement of the socially disadvantaged is our priority.
DVR College of Engineering and Technology – Medak channelizes its human, financial and physical resources towards fulfillment of high quality academic work. The D.V.R. Institutions are marching ahead into the new millennium by adopting a strategic plan for providing necessary infrastructural facilities for institution building and human resource development. It intend to collaborate with industries / institutions to engage in creative generation of ideas that go towards innovative development. This would establish linkages between industry and institution.
DVR College of Engineering and Technology – Medak Library has a collection of 21264 volumes, and 3546 titles, periodicals and 49 national & international journals, 8 news papers and other professional periodicals. The library also has an integrated book bank for SC and ST students and economically poor students. Books for SC and St students are given free by the Social Welfare Department of Government of Andhra Pradesh as per the Government’s policy. Books for economically poor students are also being provided by the College. Select articles from the periodicals are bound and there are 2000 such bound volumes.
DVR College of Engineering and Technology – Medak has an excellent canteen outsourced for the convenience of the students and the staff. The quality of food and services of the canteen are monitored and reviewed by a standing Committee. The college has a 5 KVA Diesel Generator to provide power supply to the Department and Laboratories in times of power supply failure.
