Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi was established on April 19, 1969 with an objective to spread education in this backward area, particularly for girls for whom it was difficult to reach education at Kapurthala. This college is situated near Gurudwara Hatt Sahib. The college provides peaceful academic environment to the students. College is recognized by the Punjab Govt. Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi is covered under the 2(f) series of University Grants Commission, New Delhi. In 1994, Silver Jubilee of the college was celebrated with much fan fare when distinguished old students, now at good positions were honoured.
Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi has Arts, Commerce and Computer streams alongwith certain other Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate diploma courses including M.A. in Punjabi and PGDCA. At present there are about 750 students getting education in B.A., B.Com. B.Sc. Economics, B.C.A., PGDCA and M.A. Punjabi. Internet Application & Web-Designing has also been started as an add-on course with the help of University Grants Commission, New Delhi. Certain other Certificate Courses, Diploma Courses & Advanced Diploma Courses under UGC Career Oriented Programme are likely to be started in the near future.

The main college campus is spread over 10 Acres with four impressive building-blocks: Arts block, Sardar Atma Singh block, Administrative block and Principal S. Gurdeep Singh block serving the needs of different faculties. Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi Library is also the glory of this College. The Library is fully equipped up to date stock of books to fulfill the needs of the students. These libraries consist more than 21000 books. it also provide book bank facility to the needful students.
To cater to the needs of Computer courses started in 2005-06, and to make the students computer-literate a Computer Lab having sufficient no. of computers was established in S.Atma Singh Block of Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi. Likewise a separate well-equipped Computer Lab for Girl students has been established in Women Wing of the College. These labs has the facility of Internet also. The up-to-date software according to the needs of the courses has been installed. Here, a good number of students can do their practical work without any hassle. More computers with latest software are to be installed in future and labs are being expanded.
Home Science Lab is also the glory of Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi. The Lab is fully equipped to serve the requisite purpose. It proudly possesses everything according to the Syllabus of Home Science. It is to be expanded more in the coming years. In academic session 2004-05, a separate wing for girl students was established in Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi campus on the popular demand of the public. In the current session 2008-09 this Wing shifted to a newly developed, a spacious and more comfortable campus near Guru Nanak Dev Stadium on Ber Sahib road. The wing provides very congenial atmosphere to the girls for their all-round growth of personality. The girls belonging to rural area and backward classes are being provided generous fee Concessions. The meritorious girls are given free books from the library and are honored with hefty cash prizes. Well-qualified and experienced staff imparts the teaching. The coordinator of the Women-Wing is Prof. S.K. Rattan. A fleet of new college buses plies to different villages to take the girls from their doorstep to this Home of Learning.
Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji stadium is located on Guru Nanak Khalsa College - Sultanpur Lodhi campus. College stadium is full of all facilities needed by students. The ritual inauguration of this stadium was performed by Sardar Prakash Singh Badal on 14 Nov., 1979. This stadium has proved a blessing for the youth of Sultanpur Lodhi area. It also provides a convenient and secure venue for the big functions and assemblies particularly when VVIPs visit this historical town.
