Institute for Technology and Management - ITM Chennai was founded in 1991 with an academic association with The Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), USA. The curriculum, academic standards and pedagogy of SNHU formed the basis of
ITM's Masters Program. In the years since, the Institute has expanded its collaborations to include distinguished Universities across Europe and Asia, evolving academic programs of International repute. Institute was inaugurated by his Excellency, Governor of Tamil Nadu, Dr. M. Channa Reddy, in July 1993. Apart from regular lecturers, the students are fully engaged in library session and computer lab works and Internet sessions. Hostel accommodation is offered only to women students and is optional.
