J D Womens College-JDWC Patna was established in the year 1971 to foster the cause of education for women in the state of Bihar. J D Womens College-JDWC Patna possesses a campus of 2.41 acres with student strength of 5,000 and 125 strong core faculty members along with 25 visiting/ guest faculties.
J D Womens College-JDWC Patna is a multi facility college, importing teaching up to Degree Honours stage in Science and Post-Graduation stage in Arts. Under Vocationalization of education programme of the Govt. of India, J D Womens College-JDWC Patna introduced the teaching of Vocational courses at Degree Honours stage in the year 1997 and Post-Graduate Professional Courses in the year 2002.
As an institution of learning it has a commanding presence both in the University as well as in the capital of the state. J D Womens College-JDWC Patna while maintaining its examplary record in University examinations has also emerged as a serious contender in inters University competitions winning large number of prizes.

Computer Centre of J D Womens College-JDWC Patna Two fully furnished, air-conditioned computer rooms are available in the Technical Building of the J D Womens College-JDWC Patna. One room has 20 while another has 80 workstations. All the work stations are inter connected on LAN, Wide range of Pentium Computers, Printers (Laser jet, inkjet & Dot Matrix), LCD Projector & scanners are available for the benefit of the students. A dedicated Broad Band connection has been provided to the computer centre for fast internet access. Professional Course students are provided fixed hours to work on internet.
Class Room of J D Womens College-JDWC Patna Four well furnished modern lecture halls, each having 60 seating capacity has been exclusively provided to the Faculty of Management & Computer Sciences in the Technical Building of the college.
The Faculty of Management and Computer Sciences of J D Womens College-JDWC Patna have a well organized permanent placement cell consisting of faculties and corporate representatives. One student representative securing highest marks in the 3rd semester of MBA & 5th semester of MCA will be nominated to this committee by the Director. The main objective of P-C is to provide assistance and guidance to Professional Course students in getting on job training /Project Training and placement in corporate world.
