Indus Technical Education Society (ITES), which was founded in 2003, is striving hard to establish a way of life that contributes to the development of the nation and its people through quality education.
Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT has been founded by ITES. The society was founded by Mr. P.K. Jain, Mrs. Neena Verma, Mr. Anil Kumar Aggarwal and Mr. Vipul Jain with the aim of providing state of art education in the field of engineering and technology. The found members of the society are highly motivated visionaries and are the venture. With a vision to develop a world class institution, Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT technology was established in 2004 by fully dedicated ambassadors of the society.
Kanpur institute of technology and pharmacy is also being launched in the year 2009 by the same promising and devoted team, with the initiative to enrich the society with highly talented professionals in the field of pharmacy.

The self- supporting Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT campus is located at A-1, room industrial area, Kanpur, situated on the express Highway. Spread over an area of 25 aces, the campus is accessible from major hub-points of Kanpur in less Than 60 minutes. With the new 4-lane expressway, the traveling time between the state capital and the Industrial city of Kanpur has reduced considerably.
The Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT has three academic & administrative block with a total carpet area of 50,000 sq. ft. there are Well-lighted & ventilated Lecture Theatre, Class Rooms, Tutorial Rooms, Faculty Rooms, Office for the HOD; S, director’s office, administrative office, registrar’s office, maintenance office, Reprographics Room, Strong Room, Reception Lounge and the Visitor’s Room.
The Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT library is fully automated with libsey (release 5.0 LAN version with web OPAC) and now houses about 25000 volumes of books; all the books are bar-coded. The library subscribes to about 100 national/ international journals in print form, 95 in electronic through internet, 17 magazines and at newspapers. A rich collection of CDs recognized & DVDs is also available for its users; the books in the library are classified according to the Dewey decimal classification scheme 22nd addition and catalogued in MARC-21 format and manual form both by AACR-2. The Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT library is a member of DELNET \ (developing library network). DELNET has about million catalogue records books, periodicals, articles, etc, available in machine-readable form. The library automated and networked in order to provide efficient reference service to its user can access our library through internet / intranet.
The Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT has a rich book-bank exclusively for students. Under this novel project called book-bank, every student gets five books per semester for exhaustive use. The books are to be returned at the end of the semester and a fresh of book is issued at the commencement of a new semester.
The computer centre of Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT is well equipped with all latest software and technologies. Presently the department has 8 labs, all centrally air-conditioned and with the capacity of 300 student. There are 400 system (core 2 duo/dual core/ p 4 configuration), 50printers, LCD projectors, HP Scanner, digital camera, router connected to the network through 8 server. The Kanpur Institute of Technology-KITcomputer center department Is taking care of the campus network with about 600 nodes in the academic building covering Computer center, laboratories, administrative offices, library, faculty rooms, reception, and Hostel. 24 hours internet connectivity facilities are available in hostel as well as in computer centre. We have internet connection of one IMBPS of TATAINDICOM & I MBPS from AIRTEL (both RF-connectivity). Our future target is to achieve the computing facility which will include the state of computer lab cum digital classroom and online library.
Separate Boys & Girls hostel with full security and all facilities like mess, water cooler, 24 hour power supply are available in the Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT. They are with all modern facilities. All the rooms are two seated with inter connection. Hostel is having 24 hour electricity with generator sets.
Kanpur Institute of Technology-KIT offers different type of Bachelor of Technology courses leading to Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bachelor of Pharmacy as well as Master courses leading to Master of Computer Application and Master of Business Administration.
