Janta Polytechnic - Jahangirabad was established an U.P Govt. Aided Institute approved by PCI, AICTE and UPBTE Lucknow established in 12 August 1986. Janta Polytechnic Jahangirabad is a reputed and pioneering institution for imparting quality education and training in the different emerging disciplines of Engineering and Management as well as Pharmacy – At present Janta Polytechnic - Jahangirabad is running in its on newly constructed building surrounding by 70 Begha land. The building of the institute was inaugurated by Shree Narayan Dutt Tiwari Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in August 03, 1989. According to the pact of Govt of U.P land & building will be provided by the management and staff machines equipments and other expenses will be bear by State Govt.
At present Janta Polytechnic - Jahangirabad provides Electronics Engineering, (Morning & Evening shift) Computer Science Engineering (Self Finance) Modern Office Management and Secretarial Practice (Morning & Evening shift) Diploma in Pharmacy. Janta Polytechnic - Jahangirabad has good infrastructure, defined framework and processes whereby the student can learn their syllabus, their root of practical knowledge and applicability for availing better opportunities in their respective field. The student also benefited by the guidance from expert faculties during the tenure of their training.

A jeep is attached to Training & Placement Officer to keep interaction with industries for the placement of students. Janta Polytechnic - Jahangirabad is fully equipped with latest Machinery & Equipments to train the students to face the challenge of Modern Industries and conduct all the experiments and practical exercises as per the curriculum of the courses being run at this institute.
In spite of the tough and demanding curriculum, sports and extra-curricular activities are carried out as a regular feature in this Institute and students of Janta Polytechnic - Jahangirabad participate and perform well in the state level cultural and sport competitions e.g. Youth festival, Inter-Polytechnic Athletic Meets and the state level tournaments of various games and other literary activities like Quiz-contest, & Declamation Contest etc.

Various activities are carried out by the volunteers of this scheme, which include blood donation camps, tree plantation etc. Latest achievement of our Polytechnic is the first position in Inter – Polytechnic Table Tennis tournament held at G.P Sonepat in Sep 2006. And second position in Inter – Polytechnic Volley ball (shooting) held at G.P Nilokheri in Sep 2006.
