Karpagam College of Engineering – KCE Coimbatore was established in the year 2000 by Karpagam Charity Trust, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. R. Vasanthakumar. The Government of Tamil Nadu and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi has granted approval for our college. Library is the treasure house open for academicians and students. Karpagam College of Engineering – KCE Coimbatore Central library was started with an initial stock of 4500 books in the year 2000 and now has 36,485 volumes of books on a variety of subjects. Utmost care is taken in developing resources for each department. The Central Library subscribes more than 325 International and National Journals and 213 International and National Magazines and has a good collection of latest CDs in various fields. Most of the library functions such as issue, return, reservation and searching books have been automated. Karpagam College of Engineering – KCE Coimbatore Central library has all the modern facilities in 10000 sq.m space.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit was inaugurated in Karpagam College of Engineering – KCE Coimbatore campus on 16th January 2004. Dr.R.K.Manoharan, Former NSS Coordinator, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore inaugurated the unit. Mr. P. Lakshmana Kumar, Senior Lecturer, Department of Mechanical Engineering is the Programme Officer. Since the inception of the unit, many activities were organized. Myleripalayam, a nearby village was adopted by the unit for serving the society. So far, 4 Special camps have been organized in the village. Karpagam College of Engineering – KCE Coimbatore offers different kind of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses.
