MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram was established in the year 1994, the college is situated amidst scenic beauty on the banks of Bharatha-puzha. Recognized by the AICTE and the Government of Kerala. This is the first Engineering College in the State with minority status. MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram is situated at Thrikkanapuram, 2 km south of Kuttippuram Railway station on the Kuttippuram-Trichur state highway. The nearest Airport is at Karippur-50 kms away from the college. The commitment of Muslim Educational Society towards excellence in engineering and technology development inspired them to take up the challenge of building this Engineering College.
MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram is located at Kuttippuram, Thrikkanapuram, Malappuram, Kerala. College has a fully automated state of the art library is home to more than 45000 volumes of technical books, 331 national and international reputed journals, CD-ROMs, DVDs, e-database, Project Reports, Seminar Reports, Thesis Reports, IS codes etc. More than 3000 Users are utilizing these facilities. In MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram all library services like acquisition, cataloguing, issue, return, renewal; catalogue search (On-Line Public Access Catalogue) has been fully computerized with help of bar-code facility. The Central Library details can be accessed from anywhere in the campus by using OPAC. Each department of the college is equipped with departmental library for specializing in their area with extensive level of knowledge boost in the field of concern of staff and students.
MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram is having a campus wide network interconnecting all departments across the 11 buildings in to a single LAN. The network is having a fiber backbone of 1 Gig capacity. A leased line connection having 6 Mbps Bandwidth is being catered across the campus wide network. Internet facility is available for 24 hrs. Staff and students can avail them on all working days. A separate Computer Center is set up in the Ladies Hostel for the benefit of its inmates. The college is equipped with more than 700 latest configuration computer terminals across the campus. Each department runs their own computer centre(s) with sufficient number of computers and accessories.
A Women's Hostel with capacity of 750 and a Mens Hostel with capacity of 700 are functioning within MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram campus. A rented Mens Hostel with a capacity of 100 is additionally facilitated. Since only limited number of hostel seats is available, admission is restricted. Preference will be given to those who come from far off places and those who have good academic records. MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram has a well-furnished Guest House with 10 A/C Rooms meant for visiting faculties and guests of the College. In addition guest room facility is arranged in the Campus Mens Hostel. Staff quarters are taken from the neighborhood. Rest of the staff members are accommodated in the hostels. A full fledged staff quarter is in the expansion plan of the college which will shortly start its constructions.
Physical Education Department of MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram is catering facilities for the students and staff for their active involvement in sports. The department opens opportunities to the student to expertise and exposes their talents in various sports activities. Gymnasium is available in the Mens Hostel as well as Ladies Hostel with all latest equipments. Students and Staff members can avail this facility in the morning as well as evening. There are two college buses running to Kottakkal and Thrissur from the college campus and back, on all working days for the convenience of students and members of staff.
A registered co-operative society store is functioning in MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram to help staff and students in the purchase of books and other stationery items. The store will be open from 9 am to 5 pm on all working days. An Extension counter of Punjab National Bank, Kuttippuram is functioning inside MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram campus. It works from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm on week days and from 10.30 to 11.30 am on Saturdays. Arrangement has been made with the bank to receive the college and hostel fees. In addition, it also provides other banking facilities. A canteen is functioning inside the campus for providing quality-catering facilities for the students and staff at moderate rate. MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram provides Bachelor Degree and Master Degree to the college students.
MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram provides placement facility. The Training and Placement Cell imparts training to students from first year onwards giving emphasis to motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationship, leadership qualities and other soft skills, group discussions and interview techniques. Resource persons and professionals from reputed Management Institutions along with MES College of Engineering - MESCE Malappuram faculties train students. The Placement Cell also helps the weak students to improve their academic performance by counseling. Department of English helps the students improve their communication skills using the language laboratory. These trainings help students to develop their overall personality so as to face the interviews confidently, and secure a job.
