We are indeed very fortunate in having as our Chairman Thiru.M.S.Chockalingam whose remarkable vision, foresight, dedication and unstinted support has made the polytechnic to reach its present pre-eminent position. His interests are not constrained. Many people know him as a great industrialist only. But he has also taken to agriculture, construction etc., with great success. Automobiles, especially the cars too fascinate him very much. Layout of laboratories, design and construction of buildings, and the various other steps involved in the starting of the institution. The Government of Tamil Nadu has also honored him by appointing his as 'Fit Person' to manage the affairs of the famous Sugavaneswarar Temple, the Rajaganapathy Temple and kassiviswanather temple at Salem.
