Mata Sahib Kaur college of Nursing was started in 1998 and eight batches of General Nursing and Midwifery have passed out with almost 100% success. There is excellent result of 8th batch of G.N.M. class examination held in Sept, 2008, Out of 47 students 16 got distinction and remaining got first division last year.
Mata Sahib Kaur College of Nursing, MOHALI (Mohali-Kharar Highway) is being run by the Management of Educational Society for Health Activities (ESHA) Under the Chairmanship of Mr. Charanjit Singh Walia. This is the prestigious college in the region. The Nursing students of this college have their seperate identity in their own country as well as inforeign countries. It is the only college in the state where in addition to imparting modern Nursing Education, the devotional services rendered by Bhai Ghaniya jee's teaching of humanity and spiritual is being taught.
Mata Sahib Kaur college of Nursing offers G.N.M and A.N.M diploma courses. In additions to this the post Basic B.Sc Nursing Degree course was started during the session 2008-09 with the approval of concerned authorities. Approval to start B.Sc Nursing (Basic) 4 years degree course has been received form the concerned authorities & the new session will start form September 2009. One and half year training for ANMs (Multipurpose Workers Female) was started in 2002 and five batches have passed out with excellent result having distinctions. Out of 39 students, 37 got distinctions and remaining two got first division. Mata Sahib Kaur college of Nursing is also trying to develop liaison with institutions of foreign countries to benefit the students who are seeking quality education or are seeking job opportunities abroad by providing all sorts of facilities and training required by them to crack IELTS , TOEFL & CGFNS examinations etc.
Mata Sahib Kaur college of Nursing has a magnificent building with spacious class rooms. The college has well equipped science labs & demonstration rooms & computer lab etc. as per INS norms. The students are provided training in these demonstration rooms before exposure to real situation in Hospitals. Clinical Training is imparted to the nursing students in the Government & Private Hospitals of repute. Community Health Training is provided both in Rural and in Urban areas.
