PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology – Jind was established in 1999, at Sarai Aurangabad, Bahadurgarh. It is running eight U.G. programmes in Engineering leading to B. Tech. Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, including UG programmes in Business Administration leading to BBA Degree and UG Programme in Computer Applications leading to BCA Degree.
PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology – Jind is located at Safidon, Jind, Haryana. It BDS course to students. College offers Diploma courses leading to engineering stream. The College aims to produce competent and effective Engineers/ Technocrats. The students of PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology – Jind have secured top positions in M.D.University, Rohtak. The graph of good performance has increased every year. In University exams held in the year 2000, the college got 4 top positions, 10 in May 2001, 16 in December 2001, 18 in May 2002, 39 in December 2002, 36 in May 2003, 49 in Dec 2003, 47 in May, 87 in Dec 2004, 48 in May 2005, 89 in Dec 2005, 97 in May 2006, 92 in Dec 2006, 83 in May 2007, 66 in Dec 2007 , 53 in May 2008, 47 in Dec 2008 and 42 in May 2009. It has done exceedingly well in University Exams and has produced six university medalists – three gold medalists & three silver medalists. It also has an excellent placement record. The PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology – Jind is committed to make the students technologically superior and ethically strong. We strive to instill high patterns of discipline and character building through our well framed Quality Management System. The Central Computing Facility Centre (CCFC) established with the broader objective of facilitating the common and specialized computing needs of all concerned under PDMCE. In addition, the CCFC has assumed the leadership in providing training in the areas of e-Governance and Open Source Adaptation through the POSIP laboratory. Further the service provided by CCFC extends but not limited to ensuring uninterrupted ICT activities to all service points. The broad areas of classification of range of activities emanate from the very organizational structure of CCFC as given below.
A well-stocked Library has been established in the heart of PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology – Jind campus in 1999 for the benefits of students and staff. The library is located in the College campus. A big hall has been earmarked to accommodate a large number of shelves for storing books and other reading material. Library remains open on all working days from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Books are issued / returned from 9 AM to 3 PM. Total staff members working in the library are nine.
45 buses ply everyday for to and fro movement of PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology – Jind students as well as faculty from Delhi, Gurgaon, Rohtak, Sonepat and Bahadurgarh. The college maintains eight well furnished hostels (4 for boys and 4 for girls) with all the modern facilities like water coolers, geysers, and television, telephone and air coolers for the students. An Air-conditioned canteen with modern facilities has been provided where fresh and hygienic eatables are served. The PDM General Hospital is situated in the campus which provides 24 hrs. medical service.
There is swimming Pool in the PDM Institute of Engineering and Technology – Jind campus which gives swimming facility to the students and staff of the Institutions. A trained Coach and a life guard provide swimming training to the beginners and specialised training to the aspirants. A gymnasium with covered area of 700 square feet having all modern facilities has been constructed which is equipped with imported machines and comprises of all indoor games such as Table-Tennis, Badminton, Billiards (Pool Games) etc.
