SMS Medical College - SMSMC Jaipur was established in Jaipur, Rajasthan in the year 1947. This is the oldest college in RAJASTHAN and one of the premier medical college of India. The college has been conducting its activities with a common objective of imparting healthy medical education & research as well as providing state of art treatment to the needy people of the state.
It was a great coincidence historically, that SMS Medical College - SMSMC Jaipur, the University of Rajputana and the great Republic of India were born almost simultaneously and nourished by the same life-force that made vibrations both in India and abroad. Interestingly this is the brain-child of Late Sir Mirza Ismail, the then Prime Minister of Jaipur State. Sir Mirza, on the advice of Dr. S.C. Mehta created this Institution in less than one year’s time. College provides Diploma, Bachelor Degree and Master Degree to the students.

It organizes sports and cultural activities annually as cultural event "MEDIFEST" for all-round development of students. Since then till now many students unions have their mile stones and most of them are well-known personality in medical field now.
