Vathsalya Institute of Science and Technology – VIST Nalgonda was established by Lumbini Buddhist minority educational society in August 2001 at Anantharam, Bhongir and was approved by AICTE, new Delhi and govt. of Andra Pradesh. The Lumbini Buddhist minority educational society has rich experience of 24 years in the field of education. It established several colleges an industrial training institute knows as "Krushi ITI", "SSK Jr., Degree & PG College", Vathsalya College of Business Management (MBA)” and Vathsalya College of Education (BED) - all in Bhongir town which is approximately 30kms from Hyderabad with a total strength of 2000 students.

Vathsalya Institute of Science and Technology – VIST Nalgonda Laboratories are well equipped with modern equipment and designed to develop technical depth and professional expertise in modern technologies. All the laboratories are established as per the norms of AICTE & JNTU. The laboratories are well equipped with state-of-the art instruments to match the performance of high standard even to cater the needs of research & development activities. The electrical technology lab has been established with ample facilities. Mechanical Labs are built in spacious and sufficient space as per the AICTE and JNTU norms.

The college has provided semi luxury buses for comfortable journey of the students from every corner of the twin cities. The institute is facilitating the access of the students to all four years BTech prescribed books as per JNTU syllabus on a single payment of Rs 2500/- at the beginning of the academic year for each student. The books will be issued to the students on a long term basis for the whole academic year.
